Easy Scrapbook Page

We are carrying on with the Scrappy January Virtual Crop! Next we are going to take on an easy scrapbook page with a great ring to it! If you create this layout, be sure to post a picture of your completed page to my Facebook group in the comments of this challenge post by Thursday, February 1st at 11:59pm!

What is needed for this easy scrapbook page?

You will want to use either your Circle Cutter from Creative Memories or the Custom Cutting System with the Jumbo Circle pattern to create your ring.

The rest of this layout is very straight-forward though with matted photos on coordinating papers, a vibrant foundation page, and matching embellishments with the Burst Punch and the Enchanted Wizard collection from Creative Memories.

This is definitely an easy scrapbook page you will love once you are done with it!

How do I create this easy scrapbook page?

Pick your base. I chose a “louder” base and then put more solid colors on top to embellish.

Next select a coordinating paper or color cardstock to create your ring with. Use your Custom Cutting System with Jumbo Circle or your Circle Cutter to create a ring that is as thick as you would like it to be. Mine is just under an inch wide.

You can see my video here to see Circle Cutting tips:

The key to using the Circle Cutter is to keep it in one place on your paper and slide to adjust the measurement after making your first cut. I started mine at 10″, then went down to 9 and 1/4″ to create my ring.

To use your Custom Cutting System, simply line your Jumbo pattern up on your paper, use your Blue Blade to to cut around the center track. Without moving your patter at all, use your Red Blade to cut again around your inner track.

If you would prefer to have a wider circle, use your Red Blade on the inside track of your Jumbo Circle, and they without moving your pattern, use the Red Blade on the outside track of your Jumbo Circle.

Once you have your ring, stick it down on your base. Trim your photos to whatever size you would prefer and mat them on a coordinating color or paper.

Add some punches and embellishments around your ring and on your page and journal!
