We’re continuing on with our April 2024 Virtual Crop with this beachy scrapbook layout recently shared by Creative Memories here. I of course diverged a little and made it my way, but I love how it turned out!
What You Will Need for this Beachy Scrapbook Layout:
Select a variety of designer papers to match the theme you’re working with. Hint: It doesn’t have to be a beachy scrapbook layout. This layout can work for any theme!
You will also want your 12 inch trimmer and adhesives. If you have them, the Custom Cutting System Rectangle Cutting Patterns work for creating your small squares. If you don’t have them, you can make this work with your trimmer and corner rounder. If you don’t have a corner rounder, get this one, as it does rounding and “chomping.”
Have some fun embellishments and stickers to tie your page all together as well.
How To Create This Beachy Scrapbook Layout:
Select your base. Then, with a different designer paper, create your top and bottom pieces by trimming them to 12″ x 1-1/4″ and another to 12″ x 4-1/4″. Adhere the more narrow one to the top, and the wider one to the bottom of your base.
To create your squares, cut a variety of squares to 2-3/4″ and round the corners. You can also use the inside track of the square pattern of your Rectangle Custom Cutting Patterns and green blade to create your squares.
You will cut 4 of your squares in half. Adhere 4 of the halves on the top strip of your beachy scrapbook layout as shown. Mix and match the rest of your squares, including any photos you want to cut to that size onto the bottom piece of your layout as shown.
Mat a 6″ x 4″ photo and adhere it to the center of your layout. Embellish and journal!
