For our final February Virtual Crop Challenge, we will be working to build up a solid scrapbook page in 30 minutes or less! I wanted to end on an easier challenge for you all so you can feasibly accomplish all of them for your chance at the prizes! Reminder to submit a picture of your challenges on the challenge posts in my Facebook Group by Thursday, February 29th at 11:59pm!
What You Need for this Solid Scrapbook Page in 30 Minutes
Luckily, this page doesn’t take much to create! All you will need is a base piece of paper and 2-3 other pieces of paper for your photo mats. I even used scraps from the Keep the Faith collection, which worked well with my theme.
You will want a good 12 inch trimmer so you can make your cuts correctly. I will always endorse the awesome trimmer from Creative Memories, as it has been the last trimmer I’ve purchased years ago, and I don’t foresee ever using anything else.
It is up to you if you want to embellish your page with any border punches or punches. Get yourself some good adhesive too. Creative Memories also offers many different types of those that can get your page all put together in no time!
In the original post by Creative Memories for this layout, they used a mat for their top spot, where I put a photo. You can check that post out here too, as that may be helpful to you!
How To Create This Scrapbook Page
To begin, determine what size you want your photos to be, that can fit within the strip of photos at the bottom of your page. In this layout’s original instructions, you will need 2 mats cut to 3-3/4″ x 4-1/2″, and another photo mat at 4-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ for your center photo in that strip.
For the top section, you can opt to use a photo, like I did, or use a mat for journaling, like the Creative Memories example. If you use mats from the Variety Mat Packs to mat your photos, that makes this page even more easy!
Then, all you need to do to finish up this solid scrapbook page in 30 minutes is to add some embellishments, including a title one to bring your page together. Then add some journaling to show what is happening in your photos.
