There is a great satisfaction to completing a stunning layout that took tedious hours. But there is also a type of joy that comes with getting scrapbook pages done quickly with an easy layout that pops. Creative Memories offers various pages and papers to help you create quick and easy pages with a few simple steps. Follow these tips to create easy layouts that pop.

Easy Layouts That Pop

1. Start With A Louder Base to Create Easy Layouts that Pop

Like any good scrapbook page, you need the right piece of paper to be your base. When it comes to keeping it simple, picking the right paper with pop is a must. Creative Memories has a solid line of textured designer papers that serve as that perfect piece to create a quick and easy layout.

With the texture papers, all you would need to do is mat your photos, find the perfect sticker title, and add a couple of simple embellishments to create a stunning page in minutes.

Creative Memories also offers a line of pages called Fast2Fab, which gives you a predesigned page that takes all of the guess work out of knowing which papers to match on your page. Simply mat, embellish, and move on!

2. Mat With the Right Color

The next thing you need to create easy layouts that pop is the perfect color to mat your photos with. The matting will either absorb your photos or make them stand out, depending on what color you go with. It is what separates your photos from the loud base, and choosing it right is very important.

In this case, I used white to mat all of my photos and title mat on because it was one that didn’t cause my photos to fade in the loud background. In the case of a more pastel-colored background you might want to opt for a darker mat.

In this layout, I didn’t mat at all because I felt that the photos stood out enough with the various pines behind them. This may be a preference call for you as well, but I truly think the mat color matters in creating quick and easy layouts that pop, as well as choosing whether of not matting is needed.

3. Embellish With Balance

Finally, the fun part! Pick out some stickers, embellishments, and/or a mat to finish off your layout. With the loud base, you will want to find a good way to embellish without adding too much noise to your page. Just use them to simply bring your page together.

I like to use a mat for my title, as with my farm layout since it’s easy for a written title or sticker to get lost. With embellishing in a bold layout, a little bit goes a long way.

Wrapping it Up

Bolder papers can be scary for many, but they are a great advantage when you want to complete a layout quickly and without too much thought. Creative Memories offers so many excellent paper packs that come with a combination of subtle and bolder papers, as well as entire packs of designer papers with lots of bold sheets to use. By stepping out of your comfort zone and remembering that your book and your pages are for you, or a loved one who will love it no matter what, you can feel right at home creating and even make it a creative outlet for you.
