I love to travel and am always looking for ways to adapt layout ideas to create a travel scrapbook layout for the photos I have. I came across this layout from Creative Memories and it worked very well for my photos taken on the way to Mexico. Check out how it’s made here and download printable instructions below!
What You Need To Create this Travel Scrapbook Layout
To create this travel scrapbook layout, you will need a few different sheets of coordinating designer papers and cardstock. Mats may be helpful for you as well to use for your photos or to replace a photo if you don’t have enough.
I did use a Peekaboo Pocket for my layout too, as I had too many photos for this travel scrapbook layout, but wanted to put them all on this page. If you have that problem, those are a great solution!
Have your basic scrapbooking tools ready, like your 12 inch trimmer, adhesives, and even your personal trimmer.
How To Create this Travel Scrapbook Layout
Begin with a base page/cardstock at 12″ x 12″. You will see the outside edge of this, so make sure it coordinates.
Then, take different sheets of your designer paper and cut 4 different pieces from them. One will be 6-1/2″ x 6-1/2″, another at 5″ x 6-1/2″, another at 5″ x 5″, and the final one will be 6-1/2″ x 5″. Adhere them to your base as shown on the sketch in the layout instructions.
Next take your photos and trim them to the specified instructions. 2 photos will be 5-1/2″ x 3-1/2″, another will be 3-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, and the final one will be 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. Mat them on coordinating colors or papers and adhere them as shown.
Add a border down the center of your page by using border stickers, border embellishments, your Border Maker System, and/or border punches.
Embellish and journal as desired.
