What You Need for this Sparkly Scrapbook Page:
Find a collection of papers based on your theme. You’ll want a few to work with as we’ll be cutting many different strips of paper.
Have your 12 inch trimmer and adhesives available, as with any page you are putting together. I love my trimmer because I can switch different blades in and out as needed.
For this layout, you can use 4 photos. 2 being 6″ x 4″, and 2 others being 4″ x 4″. Feel free to adjust as needed for your photos, however.
How To Make this Sparkly Scrapbook Page:
Start with your 12″ x 12″ base. Then cut a strip of paper from another sheet at 12″ x 1/2″. Adhere it to the bottom of your layout. Next, cut another 12″ x 1″ strip of paper, and adhere it just above your previous strip.
Cut another strip of paper at 12″ x 1/2″. You can choose to use the same papers as before, or you can use completely different ones to mix it up. Adhere this strip to the very top of your layout. Create another 12″ x 1″ strip and stick that down just below your other top strip.
Next, cut another piece of coordinating paper to 10-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and adhere it in the center of your base, between your top and bottom strips. Be sure to leave room on the sides, as we’ll be adding strips of paper there too.
Cut 2 strips of paper to 1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and adhere along the left and right edges of your layout, lining them up with your center piece of paper.
Trim 2 of your photos to 4″ x 4″. Adhere your 6″ x 4″ photos as well as your 4″ x 4″ photos as shown in the guide.
Finally, embellish and journal as you desire.
Wrap Up
Even if you are not creating a sparkly scrapbook page, you can apply this layout to whatever theme you are going for.
