It is so much fun to roam the Creative Memories blog and find layouts that can apply to what I’m working on, and this one was perfect for these photos! This vivacious 2-page layout can work for any theme you are working on as well! Let’s create it together in today’s challenge post!
What You Need to Create this Vivacious 2-Page Layout
Select a few coordinating designer papers. 2 of the same will be your 12″ x 12″ bases.
You will want need to create 6 borders from the Border Maker System and/or a Border Punch. There are lots of options on the Creative Memories site!
You will need your basic tools, like the 12 inch trimmer and adhesives. I also used mats on my layout for journaling and filling spaces where I didn’t have enough photos, as they make great fillers for sketches that require more photos that you have.
How To Create this Vivacious 2-Page Layout
Begin by punching out 6 borders of your choice from either the Border Maker System or Border Punch. Line them up on your bases as shown and adhere them down. The Repositional Tape Runner works marvelously for sticking down borders.
Next, you will need to cut 2 strips, each at 12″ x 5″, and stick those across the center of each page of your vivacious 2-page layout, placing them over your borders.
Trim 6 photos to 3″ x 4″, as well as a mat for journaling. Mat 1 of those photos on a coordinating designer paper or cardstock, making the mat piece 3-1/2″ x 4-1/2″. Mat your 6″ x 4″ photos as well on 6-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ pieces. You can use a mat in place of any of these photos to help fill any photo gaps you may have. Adhere your photos/mats as shown.
Embellish your layout with coordinating stickers and embellishments. I did doctor a sticker by trimming away what I didn’t want on it with my micro-tip scissors. It worked great as a title for my layout.
I was on a solo trip, so I wanted to remove the “with you” to make it work better with my layout.
Add some journaling to your page and you’re good to go with your vivacious 2-page layout!
